Our mission is to empower industries and policymakers with insights that pave the way for a cleaner, greener future in mobility.
Started by Alliance for Vehicle Efficiency and MobilityNotes, the Clean Mobility Alliance is incorporated in the USA but is not limited to a specific region. Our vision is to achieve a cleaner, greener future with mobility solutions that are safer for the planet and conducive for business growth.

Meet the Founders

Lee Janger is president and co-founder of Armitage Consulting, with over two decades of experience in advising companies and non-profits on strategic communications with federal and state agencies, and industry partners.
Lee’s expertise is deeply rooted in his work with advanced technology companies across the automotive, manufacturing, and transportation sectors. He has been instrumental in helping these industries innovate and adapt their platforms to align with evolving environmental regulations.
With a long long track record of legislative and regulatory wins for his clients including tax exemptions, inclusion of regulatory guidance provisions, and appropriations spending requests, Lee as a seasoned lawyer, assists companies by responding to regulatory rulemakings, appearing before federal regulators, and applications for grant opportunities.
Prior to founding Armitage Consulting, he served as a staff attorney to the Civil Frauds Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and for several consulting firms.
A resident of the DC-metro area, Lee holds a Bachelor of Science in communications from Boston University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago Law School.
Dr. Ameya Joshi is the founder of MobilityNotes, a platform which provides unbiased information and context for all topics relevant to transport decarbonization. He has nearly two decades of experience in the field of transport decarbonization and emissions control.
He specializes in understanding complex technological and regulatory challenges facing the transportation and off highway propulsion industries and translating them into actionable strategies. He has a broad network across industry, academia and regulatory agencies across the world, and his monthly newsletter and articles are followed by thousands of professionals across the world.
Ameya is a recognized public speaker. He has given the opening keynote address for the SAE World Congress’ session on emission control for the past several years and is a regular speaker at various international conferences such as the Heavy-Duty Sustainable Transport Symposium at Gothenburg. Ameya has been awarded the prestigious Buckendale lecturer award at SAE COMVEC in 2022.
He serves on the Editorial Board of the SAE International Journal of Sustainable Transportation, Energy, Environment, & Policy and is regularly invited by the Department of Energy to review funding proposals and technical progress at the Annual Merit Review.
Dr. Ameya Joshi’s prior work experience include 17 years with Corning Incorporated as the Director of Emerging Technologies and Regulations, and he currently also serves as the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at ClearFlame Engines. He has a Ph.D. from the University of Delaware and pursued postdoctoral work in the field of fuel cells at the Colorado School of Mines.
